Please don’t hurt me

“Please don’t hurt me” is a series of photographs captured by chance while strolling down one of the side streets in central London. The work depicts trees which have been ‘decorated’ with staplers, where remain the torn corners of posters that have been removed by the local council. Seow captures both beauty and aggression in this subject as if in the composition of an abstract painting, at the same time contemplating our affinity with our botanical fellow-creatures, almost feeling the sound and sensation of being repeatedly stapled.
