Transitions
“TRANSitions” is a site-specific sculptural installation that draws on both the current and historic context of the site, a Thames Water pumping station converted into an indoor climbing centre.
Using wire cable ties and climbing ropes, Seow has transformed this Victorian water pumping station in Stoke Newington, London, into an organism characterised by the contrast between its fragility and utilitarian properties.
‘TRANSitions’ is a shifting mass, a volume experienced as a constant change of perspectives and forms as a way to explore the viewer’s relationship with the space.
